about

Since the age of 17 I've been making music, and even earlier than that I was writing poetry on sticky notes and phone notepads and on my arms. I've been moving year to year, making new music, barely stopping to catch my breath and listen back to any of it. "nothing ever fades" is an attempt at reflection, or maybe it's just an opportunity to unbury some of those unfinished, unheard, unaddressed thoughts and beats of songs gone by; maybe it's a breath after years of running from the past; maybe it's just some songs i'll forget about in a year. Whatever it is, I'm glad I made it, because the process of constructing something new out of the dust and feedback of old music, sampled on almost every track here, was invaluable and needed. Repurposing the voice of a confused teenager, giving those songs a new future where I once didn't believe they'd ever have one. Above all, this is a project with a history and a context, and like everything else in this world, exists in relation to other things, outside of a vacuum.

Whatever it is, I hope you enjoy listening to it <3
